Chief Executive Officer

Colin brings over 20 years’ experience in the finance and insurance industry, performing a variety of leadership roles that include Chief Commercial Officer at A-Plan Insurance, Product and Commercial Director at Comparethemarket and CEO at Santander Insurance and Age UK Enterprises. Colin brings customer-focused leadership to the business, drawing on his wealth of knowledge and experience with insurance partnerships, product management, sales and distribution, to ensure SSP support our customers to develop and grow their businesses.

Debbie Riley

Group Chief Financial Officer

Debbie joined the SSP executive team as our Group Chief Finance Officer from elsewhere within the Volaris Group. Debbie is a seasoned financial expert dedicated to driving our company's fiscal health and strategic growth. Debbie has worked in finance for 37 years in a variety of roles spanning manufacturing, non-profit/charities and IT. She has worked in software companies with the Volaris Group for over 12 years, developing her career working in various software specialisms. She's passionate about, and considers the favourite part of her role, to be developing people.

Andrew Walters

Managing Director of Insurer

Andrew joined SSP in 2014, initially as a programme manager, before moving to head up our professional services function. In 2021, he became part of the executive management team in his role as Director of Professional Services. Before SSP, Andrew spent nearly 18 years at Legal & General in a variety of IT and change management roles, and he brings over 20 years’ experience in delivering large scale projects and programmes.

Martyn Mathews

Managing Director of Broker

Martyn joined SSP Broker in 2024 from LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Insurance where he was Vice President of Personal and Commercial Lines and responsible for the growth strategy of the organisation. Before this, he spent 14 years with Experian, 7 of which were spent in their Insurance portfolio. He brings over 20 years’ experience and takes up the role of Managing Director to drive the next phase of SSP Broker's development and growth.

Suzanne Caley

Group People Director

Suzanne joined SSP as Group People Director, she has over 23 years' experience working in human resources gained from a variety of sectors including financial service, construction, manufacturing and public sector. Suzanne is committed to developing talent and championing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives in our business. She is passionate about empowering individuals and promoting a diverse workplace to ensure our company not only attracts but also develops and retains top talent from all backgrounds.
